Art - 140 years apart

Yesterday was the birthday of Emily Bronte - 30th July 1818.  It was also the birthday of Kate Bush, born in 1958.  Wonder what Emily would have made of Kate's performance?

  1. Hello and thank you for popping in to see me at Thriftwood! Interesting to know that Kate Bush was born on the same day as Emily Bronte ...

    Have a wonderful Wednesday

  2. Well spotted! How intriguing, do we assume Kate Bush knew of the connection over the birth date or is it just conincidence?:)

    1. According to some internet research I did, Kate did know, but only after reading the book, and before writing the song, it intrigued me too.

    1. You'd like to think so wouldn't you? The young serious Emily, with a strict reverend father must have had a great imagination to come up with WH, so you have to think she would have loved another artists imaginations on her story.

  5. That is an excellent question! Great dinner table debate ~ they were both so young when they began, fresh and uninhibited...must work on that...just putting it down without over thinking...I hope you get to Haworth, Ellen is right, it's a special place, imagine in the Autumn mists...
